Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 81, the Supreme Court’s oldest member, underwent emergency heart surgery  Wednesday morning to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.

It has long been an open question, whether Ginsberg would step down and allow Obama to appoint her replacement.  Thus far, she steadfastly seems determined to die in office.
Now with a Republican Senate in January, if Obama were to make a nomination to the highest court in our land, they would face a daunting challenge in confirmation hearings.

We will hope for her health and await her decision.
